The SHODA Company is a company specializing in CNC routers that was founded in 1926. The CNC router that our company first developed in Japan in 1968 began as a woodworking machine, but today it is widely used around the world for machining materials lighter than iron—such as plastics, carbon, ceramics, and aluminum—and supports manufacturing across a wide range of fields, including semiconductor manufacturing equipment, aircraft, automobiles, houses equipment, and furniture.

As the only Japanese CNC router manufacturer with production facilities not only in Japan but also in China and India, we are actively expanding our global operations.

In 2014, with the vision of “becoming the NO.1 CNC router manufacturer in the world,” we developed and patented “PLANET BLUE,” the world’s first dust-free CNC router designed to solve the problem of cutting dust. That technology has been highly acclaimed and has won numerous awards.

Furthermore, with the goal of becoming the NO.1 CNC router manufacturer in the world and a “global CNC router manufacturer uniting hardware and software,” we completed the “iCNC Router”—a next-generation CNC router that integrates CNC router technology with IT—in 2023.
In 2025, we successfully developed the world’s first network-connected CNC router and launched “SHODA Web Service (SWS),” a web service that provides visibility into machine operating status and productivity. This service supports all aspects of our customers’ operations, from production management to maintenance.
